Mario Schwab previous Fall/Winter offering for 2011 was harsh with leather being the key material in his collection. For Fall 2012, the collection felt a lot more lighter with flowing silhouettes and delicate materials. The inspiration behind this collection came from  Eau de Nil, The Portrait of a Lady, and Symphony No. 5 in C sharp minor by Gustav Mahler. 

This inspiration resulted in a collection complete with luxurious and sophisticated garments, including silk dresses with lace panelling, sheer dresses, and sheer gowns with sparkly embroidery underneath. The detailing like the sequins pockets was a really nice finish and the floppy hats added extra class. 

Mario’s offering this season was appealing, but lacked a certain something hence why this review was so short.
